Men of Faith & Courage

The official History of New Zealand's Army Chaplains
The real heroes of warfare are not only the VC winners whose expliots are legend, nor the great generals enshrined in their nation's history: neither are they the millions of young men, down through the ages, who have died in the service of their countries and whom we remember with military parades and servives each year.
Among the heroes are the body of men who, by their very calling, regard war as abhorrent yet without whom no army has gone into battle from the Middle Ages.
The unsung heroes are the chaplains, those men of faith and courage who accompany the soldiers to death or glory on the battlefields.
